THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE
Most of all .......It just feels so good!
Therapeutic Swedish Massage
It involves systematically stroking, kneading and pressing soft body tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons and skin). The effect of therapeutic swedish massage is manifold, but the major goal is to improve circulation, restore/maintain muscle tone and reduce stress.
Sessions are usually done with clothes off, the body being draped by a sheet offering safe coverage and oils or lotions are used. But it can also be done with clothes on.
Deep Tissue/Clinical Sports Massage
Specific deep sports massage techniques are being used (compression, cross-fiber frictions, trigger point therapy and others). That type of massage is beneficial for management and pain reduction of both acute and chronic soft-tissue injuries.
Pre-event and post-event sports massage sessions are also available. They prepare athletes for competitions or to help them recover.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage allows the heat of the oiled stones to enhance therapeutic massage strokes inducing deep relaxation, relieving muscle tension, softening adhesive tissue, providing nurturing and gentle emotional release.
Some of the stones are placed on the body (through a protective layer) and others are used for direct massage on the skin. The temperature is checked with the client at all times.
Length of sessions : 60 or 90 minutes.
