Jack Drucker, Math Tutor:

A math professor for many years, I’ve retired recently, and one of the things I love to do is help kids succeed in math. I am very patient and supportive, and I love to see the light bulb go on when kids really understand a math topic for the first time. My students range from middle schoolers through college students. I mostly help them with algebra, geometry, precalculus and calculus, although I can tutor any math course effectively. I also help kids prepare for the SAT’s, and have written questions for the GRE. My fee is $95 per hour at my home in Upper Montclair, but it is not impossible for me to travel to you if necessary.

Francesca Elms, M.S., LDT-C, Learning Specialist

Bank Street special educator with LDT-C (Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant) certification works with struggling students on literacy and organization. I teach your little one to break the code and learn to read, work on reading fluency (accuracy and rate), and/or help develop better reading comprehension. Writing intervention includes spelling, grammar, composition, and editing skills. For older students, usually middle and high school, I help them develop organizational skills. I believe that students need to develop ownership of their own learning. I have 30 years of experience with public and private schools students and I am located in Upper Montclair.

Gretchen Stalnecker, Soprano and Voice Teacher:

A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and Montclair State University, Soprano Gretchen Stalnecker has performed all over the tri state area with New York Opera Forum, Gollard Ensemble, Bucks County Motet Singers and the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey. She is currently on the faculty of Vanhoven Music Studio in Denville, NJ and teaches privately out her home studio.
